I have been anticipating the release of the Android G1 for some time and I’m a Gooooogler, so I love Google products. From search engine to Gmail to Google Labs to almost anything else they do, Google is a trend setter. One in which I will gladly follow but, what is up with the new Android G1 manufactured by HTC?
Everything about the phones capabilities are strong in the Google arena but extremely weak in the future-forward area. What do you mean I can’t sync with my Outlook or Exchange server? I thought Google was the innovator of making things seamlessly integrated. (not sure why I said that, just an opinion)
So I’m not saying that I don’t want an Android enabled phone I just don’t want this one from HTC at this point. Today, I am switching to T-Mobile which I will not be using one of these Android phones. Maybe in a few years when more manufacturers come out with their versions (Please keep the Qwerty keyboard) I will be more susceptible to buy. But for now I am going to stick to my new T-Mobile Dash (HTC-S621) since it was free with 2 yr-contract and comes with a $50 MIB (mail in rebate). Pay me to take the phone, after all how much money are you going to make off of me in 2 years T-Mobile?
I just don’t like the current design enough to jump on the bandwagon and get one. Give me something more stylish and flashy like the iPhone but slip a Qwerty keyboard in it, while supporting a little bit of everything and I’m sold. HTC you have disgraced the release of the Android operating system with this ugly device, so let me see what’s next.
The G1 is sturdy but looks a little ghetto.
“Tell Pooki to git sum formula fo da’ baby but skip da’ G1 cause da’ elecrick bill is due!”
