The Console War will end with the Playstation 3 as winner!
Don Reisinger a technology columnist for CNet’s Digital Home blog just posted finding on a recent article regarding the console wars and it looks like it will end with the Playstation 3 as the winner.
In a report titled, "Taming the Waves: Games Console Life Cycles and Platform Competition," analysts from Strategic Analytics said the PlayStation 3 will have a much longer shelf life than current market leader the Nintendo Wii.
In fact, the analyst firm claims that the PS3 will be a "commercial platform five years after the Wii has been replaced." Because of that, it believes that lifetime PS3 sales will hit 127 million units, while Nintendo will sell a grand total of 103 million Wii units.
Just say no to Big Banks! Broward throws Bank of America under the bus as they did their customers.
Another step towards saying no to big banks came recently when Broward County turned down Bank of America as a potential funding source.
Broward following suite after another Florida governmental body also turned down Bank of America citing them on their poor handling of the mortgage situation that is hurting those attempting loan modifications or facing foreclosure.
Oh well, I am biased since I hated the way they treated non-customers and also charged them for check cashing of check drawn from their bank by their customers.

Vince Zampella and Jason West of game developer/studio Infinity Ward have been let go after being cited as insubordinate according to an SEC filing from its publisher Activision earlier this week.
The shake up at the developer is raising concerns for die hard fans of the franchise after additional news surfaced regarding Activision never wanting the creation of the Modern Warfare title and the studio’s fight to convince the publisher to let them create Call of Duty 4.
Latest info on PlayStation Network Status
Folks have been complaining of issues connecting to the Playstation Network via their Playstation3 systems. Thanks to a date code issue with handling February 28/29 which causes the system to reset to the begin date of 1/1/2000. Affecting connectivity in such services like Netflix that use certificate validation for its service which verify the system date and the certificate providers date, if the date is too far off/inconsistent such as in this case, the system fails authentication and quits.
China not accepting allegations of Google Hacking
It’s no surprise that the Chinese schools have denied allegations of hacking Google systems as we could all speculate what would happened to the teachers, students and schools if they ever admitted it. They would likely be sent to prison or shot point-blank in the head if they ever over stepped the governments power.

US Broadband plan for March 17, financial barriers
A plan expected to be unveiled on March 17 by U.S. communications regulators is aimed at bringing affordable broadband internet service to the 93 million Americans without it. However, this plan will have large financial and literacy setbacks as it attempts to bring more families into the 21-century.
The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) said Tuesday that the National Broadband Plan is an attempt to connect Americans with jobs, reduce energy costs, allow access to education and healthcare service.
US Grand Jury issues subpoena for Toyota recalls
TOKYO, Feb 22 (Reuters) – Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) said on Monday it had received a federal grand jury subpoena for documents related to unintended acceleration and braking that led to the recall of millions of cars in the United States.
Toyota and its subsidiaries received a subpoena from the attorney’s office for the southern district of New York on Feb. 8, the world’s biggest automaker said in a statement.
