Meet the Crack Fox

If you enjoyed watching the Old Greg then check out another creation from The Mighty Boosh.  See what happens when Vince meets the Crack Fox.

Check out Old Greg

If you haven’t seen this one on YouTube yet it’s Old Greg, the fish man that looks like a cross between a VH1 music video and a B-movie.  I have to say I love Old Greg…  Friggin bizarre, thanks to my lil’ sis for sharing this one with me.  I would love to share some Baileys with Old Greg.

Paris Hilton for President

With McCains’ underhanded attempt at slamming the celebrity Obama by using a smear campaign comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.  Which just goes to show how crotchety old people can retaliate when all hope is lost.  And as concerns over his age and dwindling health are being looked at it’s no wonder Paris compared him to the Crypt Keeper.

We have come to identify with Paris Hilton for the many clueless things she may have done in the past.  But this is the most intelligent thing I have heard her say about her energy plans as President.

Hey Paris just because people are talking about you, and they will cause your HOT, this does not constitute a valid candidacy.

CERN: Large Hadron Collider Rap?

I don’t know what is scarier a giant supercollider built to recreate a black hole here on Earth or a rap about the LHC? You decide!  And come someone tell me when this thing is gonna be powered on to full-force so I can make peace with people.

Where is “Quality Television” today?

Like most of you around my age, you look back at the shows we group up on and often reminisce with friends about the shows we grew up on.  Where are the shows that left impressions on our impressionable minds?  Today’s television lacks the creativity and uniqueness that once was out favorite shows.  The shows from the 80′s created trends and inspired millions and now we have crapTV, realityTV, etc.

I miss Jim Henson and his band of muppets that had special guests on the muppet show!

Do you remember Fraggle Rock?  Where are the shows that made you think about your relationship with your friends?  Taught us values.  Gone, now we have pointless shows like Pokemon that seldomly carry a message as if it is too passe to have substance.  Now we have more violent crimes with children killing children, and babies having babies.  WHAT THE HELL HAS THE WORLD COME TO?!!!

I guess I’m just upset but I have every write to be and hope that there are alot of other upset people out there willing to make a change.  So to all those creative writers out there, especially students of animation, we need to generate more quality programming for children.  Get these lazy little fat Americans off their butts and inspire them, they are the future and if you haven’t noticed, this country is going down the drain.

Honey Bee Crisis hits YouTube: Bee-Boy dance crew drops dead

HelpTheBeesHäagen-Dazs Help the Honey Bee Initiative has hit YouTube in the form of an informative PSA announcement on the death of honey bees.  Bees provide the necessary pollination of plants that in turn contribute to the worlds food supply.

More than 25 percent of the Western honey bee population had disappeared over the last several winters, posing a serous rick to our natural food supply.

One cause of these losses is an alarming phenomenon called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).  When a hive experiences CCD, the honey bees mysteriously leave their hive and die.  CCD symptoms were reported by more than 35 states across the United States and in many other countries.

Researchers do not know exactly what cause CCD, but believe there may be many factors contributing to the problem, including viruses, mites, chemical exposure, and poor nutrition.

Häagen-Dazs’ informative website located at http://www.helpthehoneybees.com to promote education of the current crisis recommends how you can help.

The Best Peer2Peer Torrent application HANDS DOWN!

Logo I recently had the opportunity to try out Vuze which is the latest Bittorrent peer 2 peer application out there.  Like I said HANDS DOWN!

I have used BitTorrent.com’s torrent program in combination with Peer Guardian 2 for my online sharing between other IT techs.  None of the ones I know have ever heard of or used Azureus (what Vuze formerly was known as) for torrenting.   Peer Guardian 2 (PG2) is an IP Filter that can be used to block certain IP connections which it does well.  But Vuze actually has many features and built in mechanisms to handle IP Filtering.  Using the same PG2 database filter file you can simple load it into the Vuze application under the option menu.

Sony PlayTV coming on September 10th for PS3 in the UK

playtv-ps3Okay so I guess the US gets the Playstation Video Store and the UK doesn’t.  But the UK is getting PlayTV and the US isn’t.  How long will we wait before we get to turn our Playstation 3 into a DVR device and watch out television shows on it?

February 17, 2009 is the cut-over date for the US to have all transmissions completely digital and with promises of a "Future Proof" PS3 this small device will play the Over-the-air broadcasts and HD broadcast of local stations.    The UK price for this device is £79.99 so expect to pay around $160 US.

We have had some bad news recently for all those who live in Europe about not getting the newly unveiled PlayStation Store TV and Movies download service until next year, but oh yes there is a little good news now.

All you gamers out there who also love watching TV will be happy to know that Sony are launching the all new Sony PlayTV, even better is that Sony are launching this PS3 product on September 10th.
