CoolTechZone: Nexus One to offer 802.11N Soon

It was supported then it wasn’t and Google removed the 802.11n from the specs page.  But it’s back again!

Nexus One to offer 802.11N Soon

Written by: Matt Hartley on 4/23/10  |  Filed Under Mobile  |  Share ShareThis

Sometimes, trying to rely on mobile broadband is just not going to cut it. This happens and it’s clear that using local wifi has some advantages that ought to be considered. How fast do you want it? How about at 802.11N speeds!

As the Android Guys pointed out, Google is not going to do anything worthwhile about the problems users are having with their 3G connectivity. Definitely a buzz-kill, but something of a crisis averted however, assuming we see 802.11N activated and made available ASAP. It may not be a fix for the mobile broadband issue on the Nexus One, but it’s better than telling the users they’re completely out of luck!

Engadget: What it takes to properly convert a 2D movie to 3D

2010-04-07inthreemd

3DTVs are useless without content and while to some sports is the killer app for 3D, others prefer movies. When it comes to new movies, there’s Avatar and then there’s everything else — most movies are converted to 3D instead of using 3D cameras. The company In-Three originally formed with the intent of converting classics like Star Wars to 3D — yes Lucas says he wants to do all six — but with all the money 3D movies are making in theaters today, In-Three is spending their time working with producers on new movies like Alice in Wonderland.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 DLC Sneak Peak

We have all been anticipating the release of the Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content pack but in the meantime we can still enjoy a sneak preview from Infinity Ward.  Not much to say about Overgrown and Crash but check out the 3 other maps: Bailout, Storm and Salvage.  Yes they remind me of a few similarities to the first Modern Warfare but I still can’t wait to play on fresh dirt.

Maybe this will take your minds off of everything that has been going on with the former execs at Infinity Ward.

Just say no to Big Banks! Broward throws Bank of America under the bus as they did their customers.

BofA-ML-logo Another step towards saying no to big banks came recently when Broward County turned down Bank of America as a potential funding source.

Broward following suite after another Florida governmental body also turned down Bank of America citing them on their poor handling of the mortgage situation that is hurting those attempting loan modifications or facing foreclosure.

Oh well, I am biased since I hated the way they treated non-customers and also charged them for check cashing of check drawn from their bank by their customers.
