A South Florida man accused of raping a woman while she was working at a food pantry has been arrested.
Police said 22-year-old Javerros Wright attacked the 75-year-old victim outside the Pantry of Broward along Northeast Third Avenue and Sixth Street early Thursday morning.
The Pantry of Broward is a charity for senior citizens. "This is one of the few sanctuaries that they have in order to get help. To think that one of our volunteers, a senior, was attacked, it just makes my blood boil," said Bruce Harris of the charity.
The victim is believed to be one of the founders of the organization.
