HAITI’S PRIME MINISTER FIRED
A major political shakeup in Haiti. Overnight Prime Minister Michelle Pierre Louis removed from office by the Senate after 13 months in office. She’d been focusing on rooting out corruption, building trade and creating jobs. President Rene’ Preval appointed Pierre Louis last year.
ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION AT PICADILLY’S
The search is on for the suspect who tried to kidnap a teenaged girl from a Picadilly Restaurant, Hollywood Boulevard and 44th Street. It happened last night. Lt. Scott Pardon says the girl apparently forgot her cell phone, went back to the car to get it and that’s when the man tried to grab her. It’s believed he got away in a Black 4 door vehicle. SOUTH FLORIDA SOLDIER LAID TO REST
Family and friends will say their final goodbyes to a South Florida soldier killed in AFghanitan, specialist Daniel Courtney Lawson. His vehicle was hit by an IED. The wake is tonight 6 – 8:30Pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Deerfield Beach. The memorial service is tomorrow 11AM at Deerfield Beach High School.
SUSPENDED FMU STUDENT HIRES LAWYER
A suspended Florida Memorial University student, Emory Mitchell, has hired an attorney. He was arrested last week for allegedly attacking 3 security guards in a campus bathroom. They say he had drugs. Mitchell claims he was the one who was attacked. He faces three charges of battery on a school security officer.

Tomorrow is Halloween and there are a number of free events to tell you about. Don’t forget HOT 105 is out in Miami Gardens, 2-4PM at Coconut Cay, 207th and 441, all kinds of free goodies for the kids and in Broward, the Urban League is teaming up with the Dwight Stephenson Foundation to present a Family Harvest Festival at Delevoe Park. It’s tomorrow, 4-9 in Delevoe Park. Kids do need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Adults are encouraged to wear costumes.
