BROWARD PARKS ADOPT NEW POLICIES
Broward County Parks have adopted new policies less than 48 hours after an employee, a sex offender, Corey Hipsher allegedly molested a 10 year old girl. It allegedly happened Thursday at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach. Broward Parks will now require all contractors to provide proof they’ve done background checks on employees.
FIU STUDENT KILLED
The family of an FIU student, a trumpet player, named after jazz great Miles Davis is mourning his death. He tried to move a live power line after it fell into the path of traffic yesterday in Hialeah. Rescue crews say he was probably killed instantly. FPL is investigating the accident and reminding everyone NOT to touch a downed power line.
TODDLER DROWNS AT OLETA STATE PARK
A South Florida family is mourning the death of their 3 year old. He drowned yesterday afternoon in a lake at Oleta River State Park in northeast Miami Dade. The toddler wandered away from his family. Florida is number one in a tragic statistic: more toddlers drown in this state than anywhere else in the country.

Another South Floridian has died of Swine or H1N1 Flu. The latest victim, a 46 year old Palm Beach woman. Swine flu has killed 26 people in Florida.
