SOMERSET, KY. – A Kentucky man has allegedly persuaded an 11-year-old girl to send him nude photos of her. He persuaded her while they were playing video games online on their PlayStation 3 consoles.

The man – Anthony Scott O’Shea, 24, of Somerset, Ky., – is now facing charges of promoting child pornography, online solicitation of a minor, and sexual performance of a child, according to Houston Chronicle.

The 24-year-old man lives near Houston, so he will be extradited to Texas, according to Sgt. Gary Spurger of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. Sgt. Spurger was in charge of the investigation and the arrest of Mr. O’Shea.

“This is another venue these guys are getting to use now that hasn’t been seen before,” Spurger said. “They’re on PlayStation or Xbox playing online games.”
The girl sent the man nude photos of her over the course of several weeks, police said. At some point, the girl felt bad about what she had done, so she told her parents all about it.

The two were reportedly playing Warhawk online, and he was using the screen name Thunder-kid.

According to court documents, the little girl “performed” for O’Shea via Web camera. The Humble girl told police investigators that the man pressured her to send him more nude photos and also talked to her about possibly meeting with her in order to “engage in sexual activity.”

The fate of the young man seems quite clear. He acknowledged the fact that he contacted the girl and that he received photos from her. Investigators also found evidence that he has distributed the photos to other people.
