A message from State Farm Florida President Jim Thompson to insurers

state-farm-logo4 I have to agree with Governor Charlie Crist when he said that Floridians will be better off without State Farm.  I wouldn’t even get State Farm for auto insurance although I have heard from insured friends how long they have been with them.

The fact is they suck and always have, increasing rates and trying to worm their way out of paying of anything.  This is just another way for them to worm out of being responsible after banking on Florida insurers and now turning their backs cause they can’t pad their pockets fast enough. Bastards.

A Message To Our Customers From State Farm Florida’s President

On January 27, 2009, we regretfully announced that State Farm Florida Insurance Company (State Farm Florida) had filed plans to discontinue its property insurance lines in Florida.

I want to clarify for you that this plan includes insurance coverage for homeowners, renters, rental condominium unit-owners, rental dwellings, condominium unit-owners, personal liability umbrella, boats, personal articles, apartments, business, church, commercial inland marine, commercial liability umbrella, contractors, manufactured home and premises/personal liability.

This is not an action we wanted to take, but one we must take given the realities of the Florida property insurance market.  We regret the impact this will have on our customers, employees and agents in Florida.

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (State Farm Mutual) and its affiliated companies will continue to provide – as they have for decades — automobile insurance, life insurance, health insurance and other financial products and services in Florida

Sincerely,
Jim Thompson
President
State Farm Florida

  • Too bad we can't all run down there with pitch forks and just burn the damn place down.

That will teach them not to mess with us.

State Farm has insured my autos since 1984. They used to insure my home until I was dropped in 1999. I am finally ready to look for a replacement for my auto insurance. Hey State Farm, don't let the door hit you in the @$$ on your way out of Florida. Then again, I am sure they will have their hands out requesting a government bailout eventually.

Thank you State Farm for the screwing! I have been a loyal policyholder for over 45 years. (House, Car, Boat, and Personal items) and now your dumping me?
When you dump my home owners policy you can bet I will be dumping the rest of my policy's with you. Its all or nothing with me.

Your profits were up there with the gas company's and you say your losing money? What do you take us all for fools? I think not!

Please take your greed and and leave Florida!

    Thanks Again
