I changed my service to T-Mobile and got a contract for two reasons. 1) My previous company MetroPCS didn’t have any better phone selections (I needed a Qwerty keyboard for text messaging) and 2) They had a special on the T-Mobile Dash which was free with a new contract and $50 mail-in rebate. (Read on about the rebate process)
Windows 6.1 is a nice option and I had to flash my phone thanks to XDA Developer to a better ROM since T-Mobile didn’t have sliding panels etc… Android is still way cooler and the phones are way faster. HTC better step it up since they are competing with their own devices on the same service provider. Who wants an HTC-S621(Excalibur) when you can have a G1?
If this device is 3G it may be of interest but with the Google Android out there dominating the market I think I will wait for a G2 or another providers use of the Android OS.
Did we just blow your mind with this all-black T-Mobile Dash? Besides sporting a new look, this furtively shot handset seems to confirm details we received from a tipster over the weekend. According to the source, the new phones have been seen in a few T-Mob stores across the country, and they’re sporting Windows 6.1 and a camera upgrade of some sort.

The Rebate Process
The rebate process was hell and I never got it cause their Rebate processing are A-holes, asking for the proof of purchase UPC from the box which I sent and they later said it did not quality and I had to send the complete ESN barcodes from the box, but then they told me it was and incomplete barcode. Did they forget they had the original barcode? Well to go back and forth is not worth $50 of my time.
