Tonight the Wizard of Oz opened at the Arsht Center in Miami, FL.  Thanks to my good friend Jamil who scored some tickets for me and my guest Scott.

There was alot of excitement and tension anticipating the show that I have not yet see until now.  The performance was great and the seats were awesome (thanks Jamil) but they were missing the theatrics that I have come familiar with in other great shows.  Lots of projected images on silk screens like in the photos above that left me questioning what happened to the set designs.

Although fun and creative changes to the story, such as the Lion King reference from the cowardly lion, the show was witty but still fell short in a few areas.  but then again I may just be projecting my expectations on them and that couldn’t be too fair.

Still worth going to see, absolutely.
